IKDHA Suzy Beard Turkey Day

Second Annual – Suzy Beard Turkey Day Memorial Event – November 21, 2020

Isaac Knapp Dental Hygienists’ Component is organizing the second Memorial Suzy Beard Turkey Day. Suzy was a long-time member of the organization and an amazing woman. She lived each day to make someone else’s life better. We want to honor her by continuing her legacy (in a small way) by providing turkey dinners to 50 families in our community.

Here is where we need your help. You can contribute in the following ways:

  1. Submit a family name, who needs help, to Chrissy Stephan by Oct. 26
  2. Donate food
  3. Donate money or grocery gift cards. On average, it costs about $50 per basket, per family. Please make checks payable to IDHA OR Chrissy Stephan. If you make the check to me, I will mail/email you a hand-written receipt, if you wish.
  4. Volunteer your time on November 21 to organize the food or help deliver (Sign Up Genius link to follow soon).

For those of you wanting to donate food and other items for the Memorial Suzy Beard Turkey Day, we need the following items:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned green beans
  • Cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • Cans of French fried onions
  • Boxed/bagged mashed potatoes
  • Boxed/bagged stuffing
  • Canned cranberries

  • Can openers
  • Disposable turkey pans (50 needed)
  • Oven turkey bags (50 needed)

All of the above items can be dropped off at Matthew 25 on Mondays between 1-4 pm, Tuesdays 9-12 pm, and Wednesdays 9-12 pm. If you need a different time, please contact Chrissy. Because of COVID restrictions, we cannot allow you to bring your donations through the front door. Wearing a mask, please come to door #3 (on the North side of the building, with a maroon awning, facing The Rescue Mission). Push the clear button on the gray box and please PRINT and SHOW THE SIGN (links to sign to print) to the camera. You will be buzzed in through the back door. Please place your donations in the boxes along the wall to the right, just past the hallway, where indicated. All gift cards and financial donations can be mailed to me at Matthew 25, c/o Chrissy Stephan 413 E. Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
