About the speakers:

A founding member and Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Michael Greger, MD, is a physician, New York Times bestselling author, and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety, and public health issues.  He has lectured at the Conference on World Affairs, testified before Congress, and was invited as an expert witness in the defense of Oprah Winfrey in the infamous “meat defamation” trial. In 2017, Dr. Greger was honored with the ACLM Lifestyle Medicine Trailblazer Award. He is a graduate of Cornell University School of Agriculture and Tufts University School of Medicine. His latest book How Not to Die became an instant New York Times Best Seller. He has videos on more than 2,000 health topics freely available at NutritionFacts.org, with new videos and articles uploaded every day. All proceeds he receives from his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements is all donated to charity.

Dr. Vinodh Bhoopathi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Health Sciences at Temple University Kornberg School of dentistry. As a dental public health specialist, he believes in training the future dental workforce in public health principles. As a health services researcher, he likes to focus on access to care and oral health disparities related research.
TITLE: “Relevance of nutritional counseling and obesity prevention in a dental care setting – steps and resources for successful integration”. At the conclusion of his session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the need to integrate nutritional counseling and obesity prevention strategies in a pediatric dental clinic
  • Recognize the steps and strategies used to develop ​a nutritional counseling and obesity prevention screener ​and professional handbook
  • Implement a nutritional counseling and obesity prevention protocol in a pediatric dental clinic setting

Dr. Robin Steely is a graduate of The Schuster Center and has been personally coached by Dr. Michael Schuster. He continues to lead and mentor a group of dentists in the Performance Coach continuum, where they study best practices in leadership, personal and professional development, health and wellness and connect with the thought leaders across the broad spectrum of human development.
