  • Harrison Dental Group (1333 Getz Rd): Seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to provide hygiene treatment in a growing office providing services such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planing for patients with periodontal disease, taking of prescribed radiographs, administration of fluoride, applying pit and fissure sealants, and providing instructions for proper oral hygiene and care.
    The Full-Time position is Monday through Friday for a total of 37 clinical hours per week.
    Schedule is Monday 9-5, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 10-7, Thursday 8-5, and Friday 8-2.
    *We will allow flexibility for one scheduled day off per week to those applicants who are only looking for 4 working days.
    A local anesthesia certification is preferred but not required

Essential Functions:

    • asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
    • serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
    • helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
    • providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
    • teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
    • taking impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
    • performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
    • communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
    • helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery
    • Follow properly issued instructions/directions regarding patient flow and manage the flow of patients to schedule/maximize the doctor’s time if applicable.

License:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
    • CPR Certification (Required)
